highway 64 sign

In an effort to assist you during the highway 64 shutdown, we've gathered some information that will be of use in finding alternate routes to the school.

Yahoo Maps

Based on the fact that Yahoo just released an enhancement to their mapping service that now includes a multi-point direction feature, which is designed to make maneuvering the map easier and allow users to quickly create multiple-point driving directions. Just drag the line that maps your course to an alternate street and the map is re-plotted to take that route.

From The North

If you live in the North part of town and you typically travel I-170 South to Eager Rd., then West on Eager Rd. to Southbound Brentwood Blvd., etc., according to the construction map published by MoDOT on the www.thenewi64.org web site, Southbound I-170 at Eager Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction, but will remain open during the entire construction project.

Here is a pre-plotted North-to-South route in Yahoo Maps, in case you are interested in altering it to fit your needs.

From The West

Students traveling from the West are the ones most affected by the I-64 construction. On January 2, 2008, both directions of I-64 will be closed from Ballas Rd. to I-170. This section of the highway is not scheduled to reopen until December 31, 2008. This section of the construction is broken up over several detailed maps. Those maps can be found on the www.thenewi64.org web site. We suggest using your favorite online mapping tool to plot your course to the school from all points West. A list of the most popular online mapping tools is at the bottom of this page.

From The East

Although the section of I-64 from I-170 to Kingshighway isn't scheduled to be closed until January 2009, students coming from the East will be affect due to the fact that they will most likely be traveling to the school in the evening, when the traffic in the East-to-West direction is heavier. We suggest using your favorite online mapping tool to plot your course to the school from all points East. A list of the most popular online mapping tools is at the bottom of this page.

From The South

South-to-North routes to the school will not be affected by I-64 construction.
