Originally from China, Lacy works as Director of Customer Support for the Americas for CMS, Inc., a leading radiation therapy software company. Although her background is electrical engineering, Lacy has always been interested in improving the human body through fitness and martial arts. She constantly seeks different workouts to challenge her fitness goal.

Lacy studied Shido-kan Karate for four years. After she received her first-degree black belt, she felt the need to focus more on self-defense techniques that are applicable in today's society. When St. Louis Self Defense & Fitness opened in October of 2004, she became a member of the school and within her first two years of krav maga training, she achieved the rank of orange belt.

In spite of the love she has for martial arts, Lacy's true passion turned to Pilates a few years ago. While she was practicing yoga in a local YMCA, her yoga instructor introduced her to Pilates. She fell in love with this fitness method immediately. She started to attend classes three times a week and received great benefits from Pilates. Pilates not only improved her posture and and gave her more strength and flexibility, it also helped her to understand how to use the appropriate muscles while she was attending other workouts and martial arts classes. Lacy eventually decided to become an instructor so she could share Pilates with others. After studying anatomy and bio mechanics, Lacy started the Stott Pilates™ Certification Program in Springfield, MO, which led to her becoming certified in 2005. In November 2007, Lacy passed the advanced certification exam. In addition to attending Pilates workshops and seminars regularly, in 2006, she went to Washington D.C. for training to become a specialist in Pilates for Golf™. "Working out and teaching have occupied all my spare time. But these techniques have been instrumental to my students and me. Seeing my clients receive the great benefit from Pilates, it all worthies for a while", Lacy says. Besides teaching Core Strength at St. Louis Self Defense & Fitness, Lacy also teaches Pilates in "Body by Pilates"; a full equipped Pilates studio in Sunset Hills.
