ON-SITE TRAINING

LET US COME TO YOU!
OR…BRING A GROUP TO OUR SCHOOL

Options:

Lecture Only:

We can come to you and provide your group with a 1 hour lecture on basic personal security and crime prevention. We design our lectures to suit the specific needs of your group. For example, nurses who walk in secluded parking garages at odd hours will be given specific instruction on garage and vehicle safety. High school students will be given information that is relevant to their specific activities (parties, at the mall, home alone). We want your group to benefit as much as possible so we tailor our talk for YOU!

Lecture and Demonstration:

In addition to a customized lecture, we can demonstrate a variety of self-protection techniques so that your group can benefit from receiving visual training. We will demonstrate techniques for defending oneself during the most common attacks one would potentially face, including chokes, grabs, ground attacks, gun and knife attacks, and rape attempts. Again, we will customize the demonstration so that it is as relevant as possible to your group. This session can be 1 hour or 90 minutes.

Hands-on Training:

In our self-protection training we will teach your group basic techniques that could save their lives! These techniques are tailored to meet the needs of your group. For example, women’s only classes will focus on rape defense techniques, whereas a law enforcement group would require techniques such as gun and knife take-aways or restraint techniques that do not involve use of excessive force. The training is low impact and safety considerations are paramount. All hands-on training also includes a short talk on basic personal security. These sessions normally require 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Our training is customized to meet the security needs of your group!

IT’S BACK!

Learn How To Fight Effectively With A Knife
When: Sunday April 17, 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Cost: $40

Back by demand, this seminar taught by Martial Blade Concepts (MBC) certified instructor Keith Jennings, is an edged-weapon training program specifically designed to meet the needs of everyone, from concerned citizens to armed professionals.  There is something for everyone in this class.  Even if you have participated in a previous seminar, you will experience new drills and techniques, including empty hand defense methods.

Unlike traditional edged-weapon training, MBC is not about “knife fighting.” Instead, MBC’s basic goal is to teach you “how to fight effectively with a knife” – applying the attributes of the knife to the broadest possible set of defensive circumstances. See a St. Louis Self Defense & Fitness staff member to register or call (314) 961-5728.
